The Sleafordian Coaches you see today was originally set up as Sleaford Taxi Co Ltd, a taxi company owned by the late Ted Barton & Don Broughton based at Ted's North Parade home. Sleaford Taxi Co Ltd began to flourish under its joint owners and a market was seen for groups wanting larger vehicles to accommodate their party.

Sleafordian Coaches was founded in the early seventies when Sleaford Taxi Co bought their first mini coach. It soon became apparent that when offering a quality service and competitive pricing that the group travel market was flourishing and as demand was soon outstripping supply the business expanded into the full size coach market.

This was the turning point from which our company has never looked back. The first move was to our Westgate garage in Sleaford as the company became larger. We remained at Westgate until 2004.

On the retirement of the late Ted Barton from the company, which was continuing to grow at a steady pace, Don Broughton's son Mark joined. It is Mark and his wife Lisa who run the company today.

Sleafordian Coaches has seen and continues to see great success in all our areas of business and our fleet now numbers 20 coaches. We operate our own tour and excursion brochure, provide many local services and school contracts, offer private hire both in the UK and in Europe and arrange specifically designed tours for groups including ferry / eurotunnel transport, hotel accommodation, theatre and attraction tickets.

One of our biggest successes has been the recent move to our new purpose built premises in July 2004, this has been specifically designed for us including a fully equipped workshop and offices and large yard with vehicle wash suitable for all our vehicles.
